Location: Stacey Avenue/ Morson Road/ Hertford Road
Reporting to: Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:
To assist customers with their requirements for hire equipment, responding to customer enquiries and processing orders in a professional manner. Preparation and chasing up of quotations together with providing relevant technical specifications of machines.
Key skills & Duties:
- Liaison with customers regarding all hire, sales and service enquiries.
- Sourcing equipment from third party suppliers to supplement own fleet so customer orders can be fulfilled.
- Liaising with suppliers the day before deliveries are due to ensure equipment will be delivered.
- Ordering of sale items.
- Ensuring all cross hire transactions have supplier special terms replicated on the customer contract
- Raising of sundry purchase orders
- Updating the CRM with information received and actions taken
- Handling customer enquiries for Powered Access, Forklifts, Telehandlers & Plant.
- Accurately processing orders and working directly with operational colleagues to allocate stock & co-ordinate transport to maximise service efficiency for customers.
- Updating hire management system and creating picking lists & hire contracts.
- Pro-actively promoting the company and its products / services at all times.
- Maintaining and exceeding company standards and targets.
- Negotiating hire rates and preparing quotations with associated spec sheet data.
- General administrative duties including resolution of queries.
- Processing of payments
- PPE guidance followed at all times
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience of working within a high-volume hire desk role desirable
- Knowledge of types of plant / machinery/ small tools / lifting and safety equipment desirable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Industry Experience preferred
