Behind the Scenes of the London Mural Festival:
How We Helped Bring Art to Life
London Mural Festival 2024 is set to take place from 5th to 29th September. Following the success of the first edition in 2020, the event is back - even better and more vibrant!
Organised by the UK's leading hand-painted advertising company, Global Street Art, the festival is the Capital’s biggest celebration of urban murals.
So what does street art have to do with plant hire? MPH was proud to lend support to the event back in 2020 and, four years later, we’re excited to be putting our weight behind LMF 2024 once again as the official access equipment supplier for the event. As such we will be providing essential equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts - to help artists access their chosen mural locations.

H2: What’s The London Mural Festival All About?
Essentially, the London Mural Festival showcases the talent of the world’s finest street artists. In addition to +100 murals to explore, programming for the 2024 edition includes:
- a pop-up at Kachette in Shoreditch where you can see studio works, try spray painting and meet some of the street artists
- performances and talks
- music and great food
- an interactive illustrated map of London by Angry Dan that you can take pieces from
- a collaborative mural painting workshop called Paint The Maze
- calligraphy workshop with Seb Lester
- street art tours
LMF 2024: London’s Biggest Celebration of Street Art
This years’ event was announced in December, when a 286m² portrait of Rembrandt suddenly appeared in Hackney.
Lee Bofkin, Global Street Art’s CEO and co-founder, said:
“The festival is an expression of the deep love we carry for this city and the work of artists who help make it such a colourful metropolis. We’re really excited to announce more artists to the line-up in due course.”
Justine Simons OBE, Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, added:
“London Mural Festival 2024, which will see hundreds of artists take part, will help us build a better city for all. Murals breathe life and energy into our walls, turning the city into a gallery and bringing art to everyone, every day for free.”
LMF 2024 is themed around ‘connection’. The festival will bring together thousands of artists and visitors to celebrate London’s diverse people and places, to demonstrate how the power of public art can serve as a catalyst for positive social change.
