4 things to look for in a PASMA training course

PASMA training courses are run up and down the UK, and, with all users of mobile access towers required by The 2005 Work At Height Regulations to be PASMA certified, it can be hard to know which PASMA training course to choose.

We frequently run the PASMA Towers for Users and Low Level Access (Combined) courses that provide essential training on how to safely assemble, dismantle and relocate tower and low level access platforms.

Here are 3 things you should look for when considering booking a PASMA training Course:

1. Check the centre you are considering is a certified PASMA training centre.

PASMA training centres are audited annually to ensure that they maintain the high training standards required for the safe operation of low level access towers.

Check The PASMA site to ensure that the training provider you are considering actually is a certified PASMA training centre.

2. Does your PASMA approved training centre deliver the combined Tower and Low Level Access qualification?

This combined course includes everything you need to know about Tower and Low Level Access in a single 7-hour course. Once you’ve completed the course, your certification is valid for 5 years before it has to be renewed. However, if you prefer to focus on Low Level Access or Mobile Access Towers separately, we also run the individual PASMA Mobile Access Tower Training and the PASMA Low Level Access Training courses in London, Enfield.

3. Number of delegates per course

At Mr Plant Hire we like to maintain a healthy delegate to trainer ratio so that everyone gets the attention they deserve.

We only run the combined course for up to 8 delegates at any one time, and the single qualification courses for up to 12 delegates at any one time.

4. Will your PASMA training provider deliver training on site to your employees?

At Mr Plant Hire, we have a training centre based in London, where we deliver PASMA and IPAF training courses, but for those customers who require it, we can deliver PASMA training courses at client sites right across the UK.

Our training is PASMA accredited and we undergo annual audits to ensure that our tuition is up to the high standards that are essential for maintaining the health and safety standards of the industry.
