Working at any height has risks, it is important for Health and Safety and Insurance purposes to be properly trained to use plant equipment safely. Mr Plant Hire have a variety of IPAF training courses depending on your requirements.

Lifts and Power Towers

The Push Around and Vertical course (PAV) is designed for operatives to be able to use, move and position machinery safely around the workplace. Not all environments are construction sites, equipment could be required in offices, retail areas or warehouses. This IPAF training course explains the necessary checks that should be carried out prior to using the machine, regulations and legislation that operatives may need to be aware of, and basic operational practice.

Scissor and Boom Lifts

Different equipment can require different IPAF training and to use mobile scissor lifts and boom lifts, operatives must complete the IPAF training 3a or 3b course. This training course gives attendees full IPAF training on machines such as Genie and Skyjack scissor lifts, and Mr Plant Hire popular Nifty self-propelled boom lifts.

IPAF Harness Training

In addition to IPAF training for operatives, Mr Plant Hire offer a Safety Harness Training Course to instruct pupils on the correct use of safety harnesses when operating scissor lifts, boom lifts and other powered access equipment.

Importance of IPAF Training

Our IPAF training courses not only offer operatives a well-known accreditation, it reinforces the need for safety, particularly around plant machinery. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reports that one in ten construction site workers are injured every year, and one of the most common types of accident is falling.
